Zanzibar Island is a superb destination to wind down after a safari, or as a destination in its own right.
This tropical Indian Ocean island has a fascinating combination of Arabic and African cultures which are best experienced from it's historic Stone Town. Most clients tend to spend 2 or 3 days in Stone Town before heading out through the countryside to discover the unspoilt white sandy beaches and coral reefs.

Stone Town
Tembo
Zanzibar Serena Inn
2 or 3 days can easily be whiled away by gentle exploration on foot, taking a trip through the spice plantations and maybe a full day out on a sailing dhow and dolphin safari. Stone Town is also well located for visiting nearby islands such as Prison Island or Chumbe Island, and is 10 minutes from the airport.
Beaches
Ras Nungwi
Breezes
The best beaches on the island are undoubtedly on the East and North Coast, of which the North is more strikingly beautiful and less developed.
Other locations on Zanzibar
We have listed only 4, although there are others in Stone Town (Emerson's & Green, Dhow Palace) and at the beach (Mapenzi, Shooting Star, Matemwe, Sunrise) which are broadly the same price per person per night as the accommodation listed below. If you require information on these other locations please telephone or email.
